Do you recall, Humpty Dumpty who sat on the wall? Can you remember he had a great fall? The fact of the matter is, Humpty had faith in all the king’s horses and all the king’s men to put him back together again and they didn’t. So, poor Humpty laid on the ground broken in pieces.
How many Humpty’s do you know?
Well, how long are we going to sit on the wall? The wall of fear, failed relationships, feeling unworthy, I’m too old, jobless, low self-esteem, nothing to live for, self doubt and many more.
What’s The Difference?
The difference I see between Humpty and us, we have the King of Kings to help get us off the wall, who catches us before falling and keeps us from failing. Let’s say we do fall. With faith, we’ll not fall to pieces; however, into a place of peace, joy and discernment.
How to help us get off the wall?
We can get off the wall by releasing those barriers that’s keeping us away from allowing God’s plans to work. The mortar between the bricks that’s holding our wall together, is different than the one used to mold us. Even thou they both contain water, its the spirit of the water that molds the clay to life. Not water of the world which hardens the clay to become brittle, and then falling to pieces. We all know what happened to old Humpty.
Is Humpty Real?
Think about all the people that climbed the ladder, building their wall as they climbed. Walls of wealth, sexual immorality, prejudices, dishonesty, misuse of authority, etc. Getting to the top, sitting all high and mighty and now have fallen to pieces the same as Humpty. How many can you think of? I could name a few Politicians, Judges, Mayors, Husbands, Wives, and do I need to call out the Subway man? Many have built their walls with the wrong mortar, that didn’t hold up quit well, instead of building a wall of strength, their wall turned into a monstrous wall called “egos” thinking they could do what they want along with greed .. They’re __________! Fill in the blank.
How to work God’s plan for you:
Through believing, fasting and praying. Fasting doesn’t necessarily mean not eating food. It means giving up something for something better. It means humbling yourself, removing all distraction, it means bowing down to the King and surrendering, confessing and accepting Him as your Savior, if you haven’t. God doesn’t have to prove who He is to us.. We have to believe He is who He says He is. We have to be approved by God through our obedience according to His words. He’s already released us from all barriers… with the option of repenting, when we do wrong. On most jobs, you get three warnings and then you’re fired! With God, its limitless. He knows your intentions. So ask yourself.. “What are your intentions”?
Pick up the pieces
That can hold you together and let go of what’s broken by giving it to God. Humpty didn’t take advantage of his other opportunities. He trusted more in the kings and king’s men, who sat on the wall with him, rather than the King of kings reaching out to him …… Trust God! Keep the Faith!
